Getting started in the art of communicating

First one must understand there are as many points of view on this subject as there are amateurs in the hobby. You may not agree with every thing or, anything, I have expressed on this blog. Let us first agree we can disagree.

Getting started
#1.Find a reference source. Be it a library, book store, Amateur radio store or, just the Ham down the street. The web has a lot to offer as well. Numerous web sites offer online reading material as well as, tutors. We call these people Elmers. The great thing about an Elmer is he or, she loves to talk about their hobby so much they want to share their knowledge with everyone. It is easy to pick their brains. Most often they are great communicators and passionate about their own mode of communication. There are so many choices of modes to pick from you should find little trouble finding one right for you. Next post I will go into web sites that offer help in getting started. Best wishes or as we hams say 73's KI5JB
